Paul Abdul a major part of the American Idol show is looking possibly to not be returning for the ninth season of the show. Auditions are due to start on August 6th and the show proper is due to be aired in January 2010.

As yet there is no contract agreed for her via her new manager David Sonenburg of just a few weeks, who has been stated by the LA Times as saying there is no contract proposal for the American Idol judge Paula Abdul at this time, this has been countered prior to this by Paula stating she  had been invited to stay on the show and was confident of a renogotiated contract for her appearance to take place.

The other judges on the panel include  Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and newcomer Kara DioGuardi. Debate and headlines in the media question whether the show without a Paula Abdul presence will achieve the same viewer levels. With big question marks still hanging over this contract/appearance for Paula and August 6th merely weeks away when the American Idol auditioning commences, things are looking decidedly “shaky” to say the least and if she is to appear, “cutting things a bit fine” is another quote that springs to mind!
