Jade Ewen the recent new member of the Sugababes who performed this year in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest has spilled the beans on what life was like before this lucky break and her secrets to success.

A year ago she was signingÂ on at the Stratford Job Centre in East London and things were looking very grim indeed and there was not much hope for her at all. But what a difference a year makes.

She said in an interview with The Sun Bizarre Editor Gordon Smart.

“I considered a normal job. I signed on in Stratford thinking “There has to be something better than this”

She added “I remember one guy working there asked me what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to be a singer. He laughed at me and said you’ve got to have more realistic goals.”

She then said about a year later “I bumped into him in Tesco and he came running up to me and said “Jade, Jade. How would you feel about coming up to do a talk to encourage the kids”

She said she was surprised by the change in attitude.
