FJgirls.com a spare domain we had knocking around which we wondered what to do with, and one day we thought “lets make this into a female celebrity website and see what happens” not knowing the first thing about celebrity websites, a massive stab in the dark if ever there was. We then literally threw a sort of pretty beta thing out there onto the web with limited content with the intention of leaving it out there for 6 months untouched and developing it LATER much LATER into a quality site if there was any remote interest.

The FJ part of FJ Girls if you were wondering thinking it stood for female something, is the intials of yours truly…………….Secrets out!

Well this fjgirls site really has caught us out in a big way by being a winner much quicker than anticipated and has put a massive spanner in the works over the last 6 months with regards the running of our other established sites which are many. It’s been a pain to put it mildly!

With the increasing amount of interest from visitors and owners of other celebrity websites, fjgirls is starting to come on the global map, is starting to get a buzz about it, and as a result will have to move from 1st to 5th gear pronto missing out the ones in between to cater to demand and get things ship shape before things get really hectic! Big changes are on the cards and we mean BIG!

The general direction and style for fjgirls is a sort of bbc/times/reuters with a bit of MTV/ NME thrown in with a dash of OK for female celebrities, thats the quality level we are aiming for and we will not rest until that level is attained!. This is still a non commercial site but this could change in the future!

FJ Girls Extra Blog

FJ Girls Extra our humorous tongue in cheek backup sister site will handle the more tabloid head scratching female celebrity headlines where you ask yourself ”what is she doing???” and statements like “sort it out girl” spring to mind! Tabloid style is the way FJ Girls Extra is going like the Sun, News of the World, Heat World and other in your face style sites. Currently updated a couple of times a month, this site could change beyond belief as it is getting increasing interest.

FJGirls the main website is undergoing some violent radical changes with a totally new look, and has started kicking in on Thursday. The main home page is now on a new database driven platform which will transform fjgirls into a leading female celebrity website. Cheryl Cole carries the flag on the main page who we have a lot of respect for especially recently, and she sets the ball rolling, she’s a natural beauty with amazing inner strength and the new fjgirls will be more of the same.

Current logo and website header are currently being played around with and will replace the current bland offering.

There are 5 or 6 other databases at fjgirls running different platforms and parts of the new site, the female celebrity news blog being the pioneer and first. The old site in webmaster speak was just a collection of static webpages with the news pages having embedded rss feeds from other sites. As this site is starting to get a lot of interest we are now producing our own feeds which has the content we want and we know you the visitor are after featuring more harder to get material, hand picked rising stars, along with the everyday essential huge names that dominate the news wires on a daily basis.

The old site is still out there and the best bits will be gradually integrated into this new platform in the coming weeks, which means there will be more features, more updates, more happening, and more female stars, in short there will be a buzz on the main site, to rival the highly succesful and increasingly popular fj girls female celebrity news blog.

More biographies, a lot more are to be added in the coming months, all searchable, with more features, with video(s), gallery links, news blog links and more where available.

Videos are and will be featuring increasingly strongly at fjgirls with video news, film trailers, live footage, interviews, birthday specials, film premieres, quality pap footage, and of course the latest happening music releases and music archives featuring big name stars from pre 2000, with full on search which comes as standard that this new database driven platform is now on.

We are possibly looking at creating some mini fan sites that will be part of the fjgirls website, maybe as a satellite subdomain for example amywinehouse.fjgirls.com or similar. Names such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, amongst others dominate the news daily and with multiple headlines, have a huge following and enough material to fill a mini website within fjgirls. Something we are looking into in the future later this year.

FJ Girls Photo Blog featuring Kate Moss

There is a NEW fjgirls supersize photo blog currently BETA featuring one photo in black and white of Kate Moss . More female celebrity photos are on their way. This NEW fjgirls feature will have photos of 800 x 600 px, huge with that in your face wow factor with frequent updates totally independent from the current news blog. Latest update will apppear on the fjgirls new main page. This has its own independent RSS and Atom Feed.

FJ Girls Directory

We also have a NEW FJ Girls Directory also currently BETA, which has in depth info and small review of the site concerned, featuring sites that have strong female celebrity content including fan sites, pap sites, official star sites, celebrity sites, forums, news sites and sources, celebrity magazine sites and much more. All sites rated by us!

FJ Girls UK

FJ Girls UK is also currently being worked on which will feature 100% UK only female celebrities. Amy Winehouse is our flag carrier for this site, she’s wild, energetic, mega talented, a fighter, has attitude, and is a Londoner just like us. Whether she is currently on form or not, regardless she is very much NOW and as the old saying goes “form comes and goes but ability never changes”! which is the theme for FJ Girls UK. Covering UK news, events, music, fashion, tv, movies and film, sport, biographies and loads more. This is probably the biggest fjgirls development and is looking to be fully LIVE late Summer 08. Something we are very keen on here, as we are based in London , are right in the thick of the current music, fashion and tv/movie trends and fjgirls will be a reflection of the current uk/london buzz.

The FJ Girls Forum which we’ve kept quiet and buried at FJ Girls for some time, is being looked at , to see what we can use it for, something we are still chewing over, an fjgirls community with thousands of members and 10’s of thousands of threads is the dream, which will need to be overseen by somebody responsible, as we don’t have the time, is on the horizon, could be off the scale huge or could be a flop, difficult to tell with forums, but when they take off they spread like wildfire sometimes attracting more visitors and having more content than the actual websites themselves. Again watch for further news.

FJ Girls at You Tube Channel

FJ girls has a channel at You Tube, something that has been on the back burner, for the past year, but could be playing an increasingly bigger role in the months ahead. Producing some of our own material is definetly on the cards in the distant future, it’s all a question of time and we don’t have much of that these days!

The old fjgirls website we will be leaving on the server with a link for those who want it. It will also be a backup, as these database driven websites, as spectacular as they are, when they go wrong the results can be equally spectacular, with literally a whole website suddenly offline in seconds, with a strange error message saying this site is experiencing “a spot of bother” or something similar. These problems can sometimes require a rocket scientist to sort them out, so the old site will be there in the background just in case!

In short fjgirls is live but now undergoing major refurbishment, you will see beta this and beta that, ear plugs and hard hat recommended, but what emerges later this year could possibly be a leading authority on everything to do with the female celebrity world.

We’ve come a long way from not having a clue what a good celebrity website is all about, to something that is starting to cause a stir. We are a long way off from the big names yet, but we are inching ever closer at an increasing rate, and nobody had heard of You Tube until recently…….and look at them now…..ranked no4 website on this planet!
