The film details:
This film is basically a reboot of the original Friday the 13th series and it’s an all new production by the director of the remake of ”The Chainsaw Massacre” and has quite a strong female star line up including Danielle Panabaker pictured above, Amanda Righetti and Willa Ford.
Film Details and Trailer:
Plot:
“Searching for his missing sister, Clay heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins that lie in wait behind moss-covered trees. And that’s not the only thing hiding under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has with the help of a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they’ve entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history – the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake armed with a razor-sharp machete…Jason Voorhees.”

Verdict:
Looks to be a sort of TV movie continuation of the original series, some of these can be quite good, some can be grim verging on a comedy. For horror fans there is not much out there at present and this film fills the void ,and with the Friday the 13th tag this could do well, but it looks a shadow of the cult original. The high female star count livens up the proceedings.
Technicals tend to go out of the window with these sort of films so don’t expect overly complex story line and character development amd world class direction, it’s terror and screams here and on that score it hits 3 stars, but for the whole film itself we are Rating as 2 stars out 5. If you are a horror junkie then you will be heading to see this, if not you will avoid!
