Entre les Murs won the Cannes Film Festival Palm d’Or which is set in Paris and is about maintaining control of a modern French class room environment using real atudents and strangely enough is the first french film to win the prestiogious award since 1987.  Catherine Deneuve (pictured) won a special prize acting in “A Christmas Tale” along with  Clint Eastwood and his direction of the film “Exchange” starring Angelina Jolie.  Angelina Jolie who was tipped to win a prize was beaten to the best actress award by actress Sandra Corveloni in the film “Line of Passage”.
