Gabriella Cilmi the Australian stunner has been upsetting the end of year music numbers in the UK as she has been billed as being the most played song in the UK beating off all UK competition to be the No1 song on plays in 2009.

“Sweet About Me” was Gabriella Cilmi’s catchy debut single and she beat off Coldplay into second place with “Viva La Vida” and third place went to Moloko and “The Time is Now”.

The numbers were arrived at covering a broad spectrum of play zones including live, online, TV and Radio and was compiled by the organisation PRS For Music who specialise in music copyright and royalties. Numbers cover 12 months from October 2008 to September 2009 according to The Sun.
