The IFP’s 19th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards  were held on November 30, 2009 at  Cipriani, Wall Street
New York and this pulled in quite a guest list. This is billed as the unofficial start to the film awards season and this event celebrates the independent film makers and the Iraq war drama “Hurt Locker” seemed to dominate the event. This  could pave the way for a few nods at the Oscar nominations in January, that remains to be seen.
