Taylor Swift wins big at the 2009 American Music Awards!

Not content with cleaning up at two recent Country Music Awards Ceremonies, Taylor Swift decided to go one better and pick up five gongs at the 2009 American Music Awards held at theÂ Nokia Theatre in L.A on 22nd November

(Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) She won the coveted “Artist of the Year” gong along with four others and made her acceptance speech via satellite link from London at Wembley Stadium where she is due to perform tonight.

She was spotted in the now world famous “Porobello Road Market” made famous by the film “Notting Hill” and she was there just hours earlier.

Saturday 21st November 2009. Taylor Swift goes shopping down at the market on Portobello Road looking in textile, trinket, oddities and clothes stores with her mum, band and friends. She bought many bin bag loads of stuff and even had time to stop to listen to a jazz band playing in the street. She tipped the band and the band gave her a CD to listen to. There was an all star line up at this event with performances from huge name leading stars including Rihanna, Lady GaGa and comeback queen Jennifer Lopez along with Shakira. Leona Lewis was also in attendance although she did not perform.

Jennifer Lopez is grabbing the headlines for the wrong reasons as half way through her routine she fell over and landed on her rear but she carried on as if nothing had happened hoping nobody noticed….Errr ……thats what happens when you’ve been away a while!

Michael Jackson also did well at the awards picking up Favourite Male Artist and Favourite Album gongs. Jay Z also did particularly well. Winners list below:
