Lucie Jones, Jedward and Simon Cowell are all in the UK Press this week as tensions mount over vote fixing that forced Lucie Jones out of the show in favour of the John and Edward twins with the amazing hair do’s. A record 16.6. Million people watched the show but a huge 3000 complained to ITV calling the decision to keep Jedward and dump Lucie as outrageous.

Apparently 11,000 people have joined a Facebook group called Boycott the X Factor and it looks like this could affect viewer ratings for the show but with such massive headlines surrounding it and the Jedward twins, we feel this controversy will only pull in more viewers to see what all the fuss is all about, this happens more than people realise.

Lucie had the vocal talent but Jedward do not, but what they lack in vocals they make up with that elusive star quality that seems to be getting them an increasing fan base whether they win the show or not something Cowell may see as £ signs.

Some stars have come out and backed the twins including surprisingly Leona Lewis according to the Sun who said “I felt bad for John and Edward because people were booing them and I don’t think thats particularly very nice”

What do we think? Jedward can’t sing but they do have that X Factor thing going on, the show is not only about the singing element but the whole package as in on stage persona, image, choreography etc, but Lucie should have gone through. The thing is the record number of viewers whether they like it or not are glued to the screen waiting for Jedward! Simon Cowell is aware of this and probably sees some potential here, the twist is if these twins win the show, it will put a big question mark over what the show is all about and will damage the shows credibility!

Its a conundrum of the first order!

On the future of Lucie Jones, record labels watch this show along with theatre, modelling co’s and TV execs , we think there could be something in the pipeline for her in the future as she and her talent has been noticed!
