Britney Spears starts tour in Oz amid Mime Media Mayhem!

Britney Spears is currently starting her down under part of the tour and those words “lip synch” and “mime” have entered the fray yet again snd thid really is a tricky topic. Perth was the first port of call on Friday.

It’s been reported by multiple media sources that a number of fans stormed out of her concert in Perth over her miming apparently as early as the third song into the gig. Britney Spears promotion crew have denied these reports. Lip synching and lack of interaction with the crowd plus no big screens to see her up close if you are at the back were the main concerns being cited.

Paul Dainty The Circus Tour promoter has said that Britney is upset by the whole thing, saying that the Australian media have used totally inaccurate reporting.

Adam Leber who is Britney Spears 27 year old manager used the Britney Spears Twitter page to say “It’s unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn’t emjoy the show last night, fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did”

The concert was at the Burswood Dome in Perth and the show organisers stated that they had not recieved any complaints from the 17,000 people who attended the event.

Finally an Australian minister has suggested that concert tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of concerts were pre recorded or mimed according to Metro . Now that could prove very interesting indeed and how would it affect ticket sales?

Britney has said in a statement about the performance “Some reporters have said they love it and some don’t. I came to Australia for my fans!”
