The MTV EMA’s were held last night in Berlin and this was a night for the Girls which comes in handy for female celebrity sites such as this one. Joint show stealers goes to Beyonce and Katy Perry for their on stage style but Beyonce clinches it with a 1,2,3 gong show domination and grabs the headline. Katy Perry again proved she is the best choice for a music award host and managed a massive 12 costume changes during the show, more on her later. Lady Gaga who was nominated for five awards came away with just the one, but she’s still new, give her time and more will come.

Pixie Lott the ultra UK newbie from Essex caused a stir at the event beating off Little Boots who we also rate, Pixie hasn’t been around five minutes, she’s already been No1 and she picked up her first award for Best Push Artist.

Amongst the performers at the event were U2 who performed live at the Brandenburg Gate last night who won the Best Live Act award and other live acts included Jay Z, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Shakira and Leona Lewis.
