Little Boots and London Christmas Lights are “GO”

A busy nightÂ on MondayÂ night in London with both the City and The West End hosting Xmas light switch on events, and there was also a film premiere in Leicester Square as well!

Oxford Street and Regent Street had their Xmas lights kicked into life with Jim Carrey doing the honours in Oxford Street with a performance by The Saturdays.

Colin Firth switched on at Regent Street and was backed by performances from The Noisettes and Daniel Merriweather. St Pauls Cathedral was also bathed in blue, green and pink floodlights which were switched on by Bob Hoskins.

Little Boots was the star of the show along with Spandau Ballet whoperformed at the massive cathedral . A record breaking choir was also at the event with 14,000 carol singers…yes14,000…. !

Last but not least the Disney 3D A Christmas Carol premiere was held in Leicester Square with Hoskins, Firth, and Carrey who were at the event and who provide the voices for the animated film, but these big stars were eclipsed by Jedward the now famous and annoying X Factor twins who drove the crowd mental. The Saturdays were also there looking very glam. Pic below.
