Angelina Jolie to star in new “Gucci” themed film!

Angelina Jolie is strongly rumoured to be starring in another film after her recent filming of “Salt” which took place earlier this year. This film will not be a spy drama but about the fashion Industry and namely the Gucci family, so a completely different genre of film to her recent film involvement.

Angie looks to be lined up to play Patrizia Reggiano, who plotted the murder of her ex-husband and fashion label boss Maurizio Gucci via a hitman in 1995 according to The Sun and Variety who was subsequently jailed.

The script is apparently currently being written and no title is available yet, this film is very much in the early stages of idea forming, script rewriting and cast assembling. The director of the film looks to be non other than the famous Ridley Scott and this film is set to span a time period of over 3 decades.

For those who are not familiar with the name Ridley Scott let us pass some film names before you then you will realise the calibre ofÂ direction here.Â Films include Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator, Thelma and Louise, Hannibal and Recently Body of Lies amongst many others. He is currently working on the new Robin Hood film adaptation that features Cate Blanchett as Maid Marian which is currently in post production.

Â If you’ve seen Angelina Jolie in Alexander and Changeling and if this film requires more of the same in the female lead role, then AngelinaÂ Jolie is pretty much the one to pull this off. The male lead role is still open with Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio names that seem to be entering the fray, it’s really down to who can work best with Jolie and the director Ridley Scott!
