With the recent run of not so good luck with the newly reformed Sugababes with the most recent being Amelle Berrabah was admitted to a clinic late last week for a 3 week stint because of depression, Mutya Buena and the recent rumour rumblings just could pose a serious threat to this new formation.

Apparently according to The Sun who seem to have their finger right on things at the moment, Mutya Buena has spent hours phoning ex band members trying to persuade the other two original band members to reform the original line up.

Tee original Sugababes line up was Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy and they started out way back in 1998.

Mutya joked in a recent TV interview “I suppose now there’s no original Sugababes left we should all just reform again” It’s funny how jokes can then turn into very serious reality.

Mutya apparently has met up with Siobhan and they get on well and Siobhan is considering it. Keisha who is currently pursuing a solo career with Jay Sean could be very interested as she does feel more comfortable as part of a group. There could just be a window of opportunity here a small one but one that is there none the less.

Very interesting potential situation developing here, if the rumours are true, if this does actually happen, the legal complications will be enormous such as what will be the rights on royalties, who gets to keep the Sugababes name, current tour dates, single releases and album ownership, and heaps more.

The orginal line up split when they were young, head strong and not used to fame but now that they have matured and possibly seen the errors of their ways, this just could be a going concern. Just at the rumour, speculation and pipe dream stage but there’s enough here to cause some serious problems for the current Sugababes line up.
