Alesha Dixon the new judge on Strictly Come Dancing who has recently just turned 31 and who replaced Arlene Phillips and got a viewer and media roasting on her debut had a chance to have her say on the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross Show and put things straight.

She claimed in the interview she had no idea she was replacing Arlene Phillips, she thought they would be judging together side by side. She said to Ross aka Woss ” I knew nothing. I found out when everyone else did. I was just as surprised as everyone else, but I took the flak for it”

She said the criticism she has received has only made her stronger she said “My life has never been smooth, it’s made me more determined, focused. I’m a fighter, I believe you have to rise above negativity”.

She added she isn’t surprised that dancers have affairs as “it gets flirtatious”.
