Its Official, Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder Civil are “divorced”. It went to court on 16 July and the hearing was held in a central London court, a decree nisi was issued and neither party were present or required to be present at the proceedings.

Blake Fielder Civil (27) and Amy Winehouse (25) were granted a divorce based on adultery by Amy Winehouse with the date alleged to be April 2008 where Blake Fielder Civil was made aware of this fact. Another document which was produced at the hearings asking Amy Winehouse “Do you admit the adultery alleged in the petition?” She answered: “Yes.”

On this basis the Divorce was granted in the form of a “Decree Nisi” often known as a “quickie divorce”. A Decree Nisi merely means that both parties are divorced by legal seperation but for the divorce to be fully finalised and for Amy or Blake to be able to remarry again a “Decree Absolute” is required. This as yet has not been granted, and in English law can be applied for 6 weeks and 1 day after the ruling of a Decree Nisi. A strange time period but this time gap is there for a reason…………allowing for a change of mind.

Amy has agreed to pay all court costs!
