Katie Holmes has had a flat out workaholic year this year with her work covering film, theatre and what now looks to be dance in the future, more on that later. She is now in the process of filming for her role in the new film “Dont Be Afraid of the Dark” a horror flick which is a remake of the original film. The film is directed by Giullermo Del Torro and co stars local oz star Guy Pearce and is currently being shot in Melbourne, Australia. The film is about a young girl who is sent to live with her father and new girlfriend only to find out there are creatures in the house and they have just one plan………they want her to become one of them! The young girl is played by Bailee Madison (pictured). There is a saying especially in acting circles “Never work with children or animals” something about stealing your limelight, but Katie Holmes looks to have no issues with either.

Tom Cruise was on holiday in Australia to catch up with friends and of course see Katie and get the SP on how things are progressing with the film.

23rd July looks to be big day for Katie Holmes as she has confirmed that she will appear on the 100th edition of “So You Think You Can Dance” in aid of a no profit organisation which provides dance scholarships to under-served and at-risk youth with the aimÂ Â also to create a nationwide accreditation program.

Bailee Madison the young actress starring in this “Don’t be afraid if the Dark” is another name to keep an eye on, when actresses start this young its something that is in the blood something like say Drew Barrymore, and look at her now!Â
