Amy Winehouse and Music Industry Comeback?

After being in the wildnerness for some months now if you can call St Lucia the wildnerness, bar a fleeting visit to London some months back, it looks like good news is finally coming from the Island of St Lucia, where Amy is currently residing. We’ve been quietly watching the wires for anything of significance beyond the usual Amy causing trouble style headlines and this one has jumped out and it Â could be a big one. It looks like Amy’s new record label Lioness Records which she bought very early this year is to bear fruit and is set to release its first album which features one of Amy’s back up singersÂ his name beingÂ Zalon and will also feature Amy performing and has had some input at the production level by non other than Marc Ronson.

This is quite a headline not only for a new album release but also the fact she has actually managed to work with Marc Ronson at all, after they seriously fell out when she was billed to sing the Quantum of Solace Sound Track but she stormed out saying “this is cr*p” or probably stronger words to that effect. We have to agree with her on that one!

The only other signing on this Lioness Records record label isÂ her 13 year old godÂ Â daughterÂ Dionne Bromfield who also has some input on this album according to the Evening Standard London paper, a pretty reliable news source, but big things always start in a small way.

Amy Winehouse headlines like the lady herself are unpredictable and “wild card” in nature, to say the least, but this one sounds pretty solid and feasible enough that this site has decided to run with it, but the headline still carries a question mark to cover our credibility!
