Sandra Bullock was at “The Proposal” Los Angeles Film Premiere held last night on June 1, at The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. This was billed as the World Premiere of this film and is a comedy directed by Anne Fletcher starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.

Loads of films come to mind with Sandra, but Speed and Miss Congeniality are the ones that probably stick in peoples minds and the coffee shop scene in Miss Congeniality is one that sticks in the mind here…a classic! She’s similar to Jennifer Aniston in a lot of ways as she seems to get what they call “typecast” with comedies seeming to be her forte. She’s been around on the Hollywood scene for a long time now with Speed the first version being from 1994! She is 44 and you could say a Hollywood Veteran and still looks very good indeed!
The Guest List for “the Proposal” World Premiere
Adam Shankman, Alan Bergman, Anne Fletcher, Betty White, Craig T. Nelson, David Hoberman, Dick Cook, Doria Cook, George Lopez, Jesse James, Kate Flannery, Malin Akerman, Melora Hardin, Michael Nouri, Mini Anden, Oren Aviv, Oscar Nunez, Ryan Reynolds, Samantha Harris, Sandra Bullock
The Film Plot:
Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) is the executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company, Colden Books, who forces her assistant Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to avoid being deported to Canada. He grudgingly accepts in order to get the position of editor within the company. When the government investigates, the two are forced to spend the weekend with his parents in Alaska in order to sell the lie. But as they start to be together they start to fall in love.
The Verdict:
Do like Sandra Bullock, storyline sounds good, acting is OK rather than outstanding, Sandra has done better, there are some laughs to be had here, but we are still searching for a comedy that goes beyond 3 stars, as yet to appear on this site. This film looks in the OK region, we are very very slightly below neutral on this one Rating 2 and half stars +++ out of 5. Its a Rom Com and one for the girls! Box office wise, its a wild card…….total disaster or No1 or anything in between! The Reynolds and Bullock factor should pull the punters in though!

Current favourite movie is an older one called Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter. A bit on the edge and a boundary pusher thinking just that bit outside the box.
