Taylor Swift Spotting and “You Belong with Me” Official Video

Taylor SwiftÂ has beenÂ Â in London the last couple of days, busy and busy are the words that describe this lady at the moment with her new singles debuting this week, first one called “You Belong with Me” and the second called “The Best Day”. We’ve focused on the first song and official video is below.

Taylor Swift who is not only an American singerÂ but is also a Â songwriter and writes her own material is looking to crack the UK Market after her success in her home country. She’sÂ will beÂ busy in LondonÂ with her line up includingÂ a couple of gigs at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire andÂ also live at theÂ Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Swindon which takes place on 9 and 10 May. She paid a visit to Guy Ritchie’s Punchbowl Pub in Mayfair Photo below) and was spotted around London andÂ entering and leavingÂ her hotel. The leather biker look jacket in the photo below is hitting all the media and making the headlines.

The Verdict:

Good vocals, nice clean and safe sounding song, poppy and the video is not bad. This lady has talent, that cannot be denied. Musically though, this does nothing for us here at all, just a bit too squeaky clean for our liking, a bit more low end grunt would come in handy, slightly more risque lyrics, a touch more soundstaging and just a bit more “dynamic” slightly rougher edged sounding to quoteÂ an example say like Pink’s latest number. Apart from that the technicals are there,Â and this will probably do well in the charts as she has a huge following, it’s just not pushing any buttons for us here at all, but the song still arrives at a respectable rating regardlessÂ Rating 3 stars out 5
