Two US Premieres were held last night, one in New York and one in LA, only got room for one, and decided to go for “Observe and Report” which is a comedy and the premiere took place at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Hollywood. Not a massive premiere but a few reasonable celeb names were in attendance.
Anna Faris is the female lead in this film going by the name of Brandi and the male lead is played by Seth Rogan a Security Guard going by the name of Ronnie Barnhadt. Anna Faris stole the show at this event and the sexy black number she wore added more rocket fuel to the presence fire. Couldn’t look any better if she tried!
Full red carpet line up as follows:
Anna Faris, Celia Weston, Cheryl Hines, Danny McBride, Donald De Line, Douglas Robb,
Efren Ramirez, Eric Winter, Hoobastank, Jody Hill, Jonah Hill, Michael Pena, Ray Liotta and Seth Rogen and more.
The Plot:
Dedicated mall security guard Ronnie Barnhardt (Seth Rogen) is called into action to stop a flasher from turning shopper’s paradise into his personal nude show. But when Barnhardt can’t bring the culprit to justice, a surly police detective is recruited to close the case. While trying to stop the flasher he meets one of his victims, a blond girl named Brandi (Anna Faris) who he quickley falls in love with.

The Verdict:
Trailer based, this looks a little bit off beat, story sounds funny, and the trailer had us smiling in places, but not laughing as we did to Hannah Montana: the Movie which we thought was pretty good. Looks a bit slow, laughs for us were thin, acting again thin, plot and story you guessed it again thin, it is a comedy and these things do become secondary, but we were hardly slapping our knees here in fits of laughter to compensate , and we can laugh likes hyenas at pretty much anything when the need arises.
It’s also being hailed as being similar to the recently released Paul Blart: Mall Cop although a more mature version with some fundamental differences, which means originality is also in question, and the questionable similar release timing??……..not good! Anna Faris is looking good but even that doesn’t save the day………… No more time wasted writing this Yawnnnn………Oh dear…………..Rating 1 and half stars out 5. The half by the way is for Anna Faris!!

A full time webmaster running many websites of which female celebrities is one of the most recent additions. Located in London, UK with a keen interest in the female celebrity world with a massive interest in movies and photography. Current favourite movie is an older one called Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter. A bit on the edge and a boundary pusher thinking just that bit outside the box. Has a strong message which can vary from person to person, and has some clever subliminal layering that may be missed on the first viewing......A Classic! Music wise anything goes but if there is a guitar(s) in their somewhere, it is favoured above other material. Read more soon
