The Brit Awards were held last night in Earls Court, London and there are multiple headlines for this event, too much for one post, but Duffy without doubt was Queen of the Show.

This awards show has been billed by most media as a pretty tame event this year with predictable autocue humour and one swear word from Katy Perry throughout the whole show, but tame or not, the celebs came out in all their finery and the red carpet was far from tame.
Duffy after her mere 1 Grammy Award win some weeks back won not 1 Brit, not even 2 Brits, but 3 Brit Awards totally dominating the awards ceremony. Coldplay who were the other multi nomimated artists in 4 categories came away with nothing, much to everyones surprise. Ironically in the London media today Coldplay are being billed as the best live act that performed at the show.
The Duffy gong hatrick reads as follows:
Best British Female : Duffy
Best British Album: Duffy: Rockferry
Best British Breakthrough Act: Duffy.
The awards in our opinion couldn’t have gone to a better person and are well deserved. It’s good to see pure talent rewarded in such a way! We arer expecting even greater things from this lady in the future as she is still a relative newcomer. She performed Warwick Avenue live and the video feature is below:
Duffy – Warwick Avenue – Live at The Brit Awards 2009
Other female artist winners included Best British Single: Girls Aloud The Promise which we are not so sure about, not their best single in our opinion and certainly not the best British for the year in question, although we have to say they are well overdue for an award. Girls aloud performed this No1 hit at the awards see vide below:

Best International Female went to Katy Perry and we are inclined to agree on that one, superb talent on offer from this lady and a character as well and a deserved win.
Kylie Minogue was the presenter at this event and a superb choice along with James Cordden and Max Horne. Kylie managed to pull off 6 costume changes in one night and the two in our opinion that stole the show were the White Goddesss dress by Jean-Paul Gaultier and the Little Red Dress by Balmain was our fave photo below. Either way she was glowing and put many younger stars to shame.

She also performed her song “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” with Mathew Horne and James Corden as backup dancers dressed in red dresses and knee high boots. Classic!
The Winners List:
British Female Solo Artist: Duffy
International Female Solo Artist: Katy Perry
British Breakthrough Act: Duffy

British Male Solo Artist: Paul Weller
International Album: Kings Of Leon – Only By the Night
British Live Act: Iron Maiden
British Group: Elbow
Critics Choice: Florence And The Machine
International Male Solo Artist: Kanye West

Located in London, UK with a keen interest in the female celebrity world with a massive interest in movies and photography. Current favourite movie is an older one called Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter. A bit on the edge and a boundary pusher thinking just that bit outside the box. Has a strong message which can vary from person to person, and has some clever subliminal layering that may be missed on the first viewing......A Classic!
