The UK Film Premiere ofÂ “Confessions of a Shopaholic”Â was held at the Empire Cinema London, Leicester Square and names that attended included the stars of the film Isla Fisher and Hugh Dancy and also names such as Bianca Gascoigne,Â Liz McClarnon, Jo Wood, Nicola McQueen, Beverley Knight and more.

Film Details:

A college graduate named Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) moves to Manhattan to nurture her shopping addiction and get involved in the New York magazine world. Her dream job is to work for fashion magazine Alette, instead she becomes a columnist for a financial magazine published by the same company. The new editor Luke Brandon hires her to provide a unconventional perspective on financial advice in a column under the title “the Girl in the Green Scarf”. Despite being able to give great financial advice she is unable to admit her own addiction to shopping. She is up to her neck in debt, and is being chased by debt collectors.Â

Judging by the media coverage, thisÂ filmÂ could beÂ a box office success but the critics as predicted are not getting too excited about this offering even if it is based on a pretty good book. The soundtrack to this film is due to be released on 17 Feb and features heavyweight names such as Natasha Bedingfield, Macy Gray, Lady Gaga and Pussycat Dolls. So even if the film isn’t up to much, musically this film hits the right buttons!
