The coveted Annual Critics Choice Awards were held last night at the Viceroy at Santa Monica, California and this awards ceremony is an important one in the film industry calendar. Gongs won at this event are normally very good indicators of a similar win at the Oscars but not always. The Golden Globe Awards yet another big awards event being held this Sunday, is another good indicator and confirmation of what could be happening late February when the Academy Awards take place.

The Critics Choice Awards are voted for by 200 TV and Radio and Online Film Critics from the US and Canada.
Kate Winslet steals the headline for us with her win of Best Supporting Actress in “The Reader” but she was unable to attend the event because she was attending the David Letterman Show for filming. Anne Hathaway had the dubious honour of sharing the Best Actress Award with non other than Meryl Streep.
Slum Dog Millionaire the Brit Film directed by Danny Boyle cleaned up at this awards winning 5 gongs, we will br running a feature on this film on Saturday as it has been released in the UK as of today and is causing a stir with critics and awards alike

A full time webmaster running many websites of which female celebrities is one of the most recent additions. Located in London, UK with a keen interest in the female celebrity world with a massive interest in movies and photography. Current favourite movie is an older one called Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Helena Bonham Carter. A bit on the edge and a boundary pusher thinking just that bit outside the box. Has a strong message which can vary from person to person, and has some clever subliminal layering that may be missed on the first viewing......A Classic! Music wise anything goes but if there is a guitar(s) in their somewhere, it is favoured above other material. Read more soon
