Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud fame who recently starred in St Trinians 2 the film and who is joint owner of the Kanaloa nightclub in London looks to be branching out into yet more areas. Not content with all of that, it looks like Cheryl Cole’s huge solo success has given her the desire to do the same and she is working on solo material.

During an interview in the Kanaloa she said:

“I’m starting my album now but I don’t know what theme of music to go for. I want to step away from cheesy pop.

She added “It’s important for me to try to establish my identity”

This is a big blow for Girls Aloud as Nadine Coyle is also looking to make a solo career and she is current over in LA. It remains to be seen whether Girls Aloud will continue with these latest developments.

On the nightclub front, Sarah Hardings joint ownership of the Kanaloa nightclub in London is proving so successful she is looking to open with her boyfriend Tom Crane four new nightclubs including one for students in Oxford.

Sarah Blasko has a new single out called “We Won’t Run” and this will be released on Monday here in the UK. She’s an Australian artist and a platinum selling one at that. After fronting Sydney-based band, Acquiesce from mid-1990s, Blasko developed her solo career from 2002. Her album, “As Day Follows Night”, which hit the Top 5 and also won her the ‘Best Female Artist’ at the 2009 ARIA Awards which is like the Australian Grammys. The credentials are there, whether she cracks it here in the UK remains to be seen. Check her official vid out below:

Jennifer Aniston as everybody should know by now is starring in the latest film release with Gerard Butler called “The Bounty Hunter”. This post is not about film premiere’s, Jennifer Aniston’s love life or even an interview on a TV show doing a promo of this film. This post is quite simply answering the question “Is it worth going to see in the cinema”

With the film being released here in the UK on Wednesday, it’s had plenty of time for the critics to come in for the kill, and boy do they hate this film. Even The Sun hates it. Here’s what the critics had to say……….. and can we just say before you read this we do like Jennifer Aniston and we do rate her as a first class actress but news is news……….

Larushka Ivan-Zadeh at Metro who has been in the film critic game a fair while now so her opinion carries some weight and can be vicious if the film as they say in the states “SUCKS” had this to say:

For, exactly like you, I thought: ‘Ooh, a lovely piece of throwaway fluff,’ only to groan through nearly two hours of soul-sucking tedium.

The obligatory implausible set-up sees Milo (a deeply unattractive Butler oozing smugness like a chipmunk that got the cream), a gambling addict and debt-riddled bounty hunter, land his dream job when he is assigned to haul his bail-jumping ex-wife Nicole into jail. Rating A Terrible 1 Star

Neither explosive enough for lovers of action, soppy enough for those who want romance, or funny enough for comedy fans, this is a film that inhabits some kind of movie limbo.

All it serves to do is remind us of how creating a tabloid interest in the potential off-screen romance of a film’s two leads is now a potential marketing tool of a film studio.

Oh Dear……..Oh Dear! We were going to try critic number 4 but we think we could be flogging a dead horse here and we’ll leave it that! Personally some of the best films seen by yours truly have been critical nightmares and box office no hopers but The Bounty Hunter we are not so sure?

Lady GaGa’s new official video feat Beyonce is out. You’ve seen the stills, you’ve heard it live on the promo run and you’ve heard the audio sampler but it’s the video that is the thing with Lady GaGa, as like her taste in clothing her videos are not your run of the mill poppy style numbers and this one has some deeper meaning style under current running through it that may not appear on first viewing. In Paparazzi, Gaga plays the role of a mind-controlled slave who was “programmed� to poison and kill her boyfriend. Telephone is a continuation of this story, where Gaga goes to jail for her crime.

In an interview with E Online Lady GaGa had this to say about telephone.

“There was this really amazing quality in ‘Paparazzi,’ where it kind of had this pure pop music quality but at the same time it was a commentary on fame culture. In its own way, even at certain points working with Jonas Åkerlund, the director of both videos really achieved this high art quality in the way that it was shot. I wanted to do the same thing with this video—take a decidedly pop song, which on the surface has a quite shallow meaning, and turn it into something deeper.�

With the rumours still circulating that Jason Trawick and Britney Spears have split, which we have heard a million times before and didn’t get us jumping up and down on this site, we’ve had a quick glance to see whether what we said yesterday of a pap photo popping up to prove this story complete and utter rubbish has materialised the following day.
